Now chemical awareness is another very interesting subject.
One of the things that makes it interesting is that it is so complex that you can't even imagine the impact it has in our life on this earth. You really do have to spend some time learning it to understand it.
So, we asked google: Are chemicals considered elements?
And this is what we learned.
Elements. An element is a chemical substance that is made up of only one type of atom. ... Each is represented by a chemical symbol. Most elements are metals – for example, gold (Au), silver (Ag) and iron (Fe) – and others are non-metals, for example carbon (C), nitrogen (N) and oxygen (O).
See what we mean by complex. Would you have ever thought of metal as a chemical? Or would you call it an element?
